Niche jobs - Crunchboard

Now new Web companies can both staff their startups and watch what’s find a jobgoing on with new Web apps via TechCrunch. Mike just announced a new job board, Crunchboard, as another new piece in the TechCrunch suite of sites. Our goal with CrunchBoard is to build the ultimate web insiders network. A thirty day ad costs is what Mike has to say. A thirty day ad costs $200. Crunchboard was launched in August 2006 and after one week Techcrunch had gathered some interesting statistics - here have been a total of 75 jobs posted on the site, or about ten per day. Both large and small companies are using it for their hiring needs - customers include Fox (including listings for Myspace, Fox Sports, IGN and other properties), NBC, Six Apart, Pandora, Sharpcast, MobiTV, Photobucket, Piczo, Meevee, Simply Hired, Browster, Flock, and many others. Indeed.com reports7 that there are 121 job listings per 1000 people in San Jose, and 74 job listings per 1000 in San Francisco. The online jobs segment is attracting a lot of entrepreneurial attention. From vertical search plays such as Indeed, to new players such as TheLadders, and Jobsters are trying to address some of the inefficiencies of the current online job model.
