Mobile chat for multiple protocol
Mabber is a product from a team based in Germany. The software allows you to chat across multiple protocols
– so what is the big deal as that is allowed by other applications – but here is the beauty of it, Mabber allows you to chat on your mobile phone as well. Your phone needs to have GPRS. Mabber has been developed on the Jabber protocol but also supports MSN, Yahoo, AIM and ofcource GTalk.
There are two parts to the mabber application. The first is the web interface where clearly a lot of effort has been made to enhance the user experience. The web application works smoothly and works smoothly as there are no delays when windows are changed. Also included are all the facilities that a typical IM would have like history, grouping etc.
The second part of the application is the mobile application which you can download by receiving a SMS from
Mabber (with the link). For getting the SMS one has to submit their mobile number. Once you have downloaded and installed the application you need to login using your login on the Mabber website. From that point you are able to access all your IM contacts and communicate with them using a standard mobile keypad. Depending on the costs of your Mobile service provider you can send messages from you mobile. The application can now be downloaded directly from the website.
Another feature that has been added to Mabber is that you can put it on your website or your blog and you can chat with the visitors to your website or your blog. Try mabber as you would find it interesting.
