Make free calls to US from your Skype
I was pleased to find that using Skype you can make free calls to US (sorry right now the service is available in US only). All that you need is a VOIP phone or a computer with the latest version of Skype installed.
Once you are logged in you need to dial 1-800-373-3411 (1-800-373-3411 and make sure the country selected in the drop down menu is USA. 1-800-373-3411 is the toll free number for a service which is a directory assistance service (Free411) for USA. You can call anywhere from US and a standard pre-recorded greeting would welcome you and ask for the name/business you are trying to reach. If the name/business is found in the directory database the service will connect you to that number for free! Where is the catch? No where! Using Skype you can call any toll free number is not only US but also to France, Poland and UK. Unfortunately the free411 service is only available in US.
So get going and start calling your friends and family is US for free using Skype.
