Make your own flash presentations online with Toufee

Toufee is a WYSIWYG Flash movie builder that aims to make it easy for non technical users to quickly flash, movies, swf, files, videos, mx, *.swf, macromedia, animate, animations, flash 7, playercreate impressive multimedia items for embedding in pages. Some of the key features include drag and drop element placement, good control over presentation timing and a text-to-speech with six relatively human voices. There’s no shortage of people who would like to make Flash presentations without complicated or expensive desktop software and thought there are other options that can help you create flash animations like Scrapblog and Tagloops but Toufee does stand out as a service that is easier to use for a layman. The product is being developed full-time by New Delhi based Sanchit Bhatnagar and Navneet Rai. If Toufee can land on its feet in terms of performance and stability it could do very well in the space currently dominated by companies like Slide and RockYou. Toufee isn’t there yet, but it shows a lot of potential.

Some of the features of Toufee are

  • Create flash movies, banners, presentations, e-cards, etcflash, movies, swf, files, videos, mx, *.swf, macromedia, animate, animations, flash 7, player
  • Point and click editor makes creating flash content a breeze
  • No downloading, installation or plugins - it’s all based
  • Hundreds of special effects for your text, photos and videos
  • Insert images from Flickr & videos from Youtube with a click
  • Small output size makes sure your movies run everywhere!
  • Publish your movies directly to MySpace, eBay, , etc.

The good news is that the product is being improved on a regular basis and there are some areas like tool responsiveness and interaction and the user interface need work to be a contender for a business grade and a serious service. A lot of people have indicated that the name is a weird one but I think, being an India, it means candy as Toufee is used to refer to candy in India though I cannot confirm this.Overall, I think Toufee is a company and product worth watching. Once it gets its feet on the ground I think it will fill an important need.
